Everyman Theatre

The Everyman Theatre project involved the conversion of Baltimore’s Downtown Town Theatre into the form of a 250 seat theater. Lewis Contractors provided full preconstruction and construction services, inclusive of forensic work for this adaptive reuse project. Along with the extensive exterior and interior restoration elements, the renovated Everyman Theatre features multiple performance spaces with modernized theatre audio/visual systems. Located in the West Side arts district, the once abandoned building is now a community gem. Due to its status as a historically recognized building, intense measures were taken to insure the existing historical features of the property were preserved. Work on Everyman Theatre was completed in December 2012, on schedule and in time to host the theatre groups’ highly anticipated 2013 performances in their new location. The Everyman Theatre project is the recipient of the 2013 Baltimore Heritage Award
