February 1, 2016 – Lewis Contractors earns four Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC) Excellence in Construction Awards for 2015 and two Awards of Merit.
The ABC Baltimore Metro Chapter announced this year’s award recipients for outstanding construction practices at its annual Winter Gala over the past weekend. Lewis’ 2015 awards include four Excellence in Construction (EIC) Awards and two Merit Awards bringing its EIC Award total to 86.
Lewis projects being honored with the chapter’s highest award include: City of Annapolis – Maynard Burgess House Restoration, Gilman School – Science Building Renovations, Maryland School for the Blind – Multiple Disabilities Academic Building and Mt. Vernon Place Conservancy – Washington Monument projects.
Projects earning Merit Awards include the Maryland School for the Blind – Youth Development Field and Parks and People Foundation – Sally and Butch Michel Center projects.
This year’s awards ceremony will be held on April 28, 2016.
The yearly event honors the “best of the best” construction projects as measured against the overall satisfaction of clients in the categories of budget, challenges overcome, creativity, positive community impact, project management, safety, scheduling, and workmanship. Judges in this peer reviewed program are knowledgeable and respected construction managers in the Maryland construction industry.
