May 28, 2016 – The ribbon cutting for Harford County Public Library’s new Havre de Grace Branch will be held June 15.
Located on the site of the previous library at the corner of North Union and Pennington avenues, the project involved the demolition of the old facility and the construction a new 19,486-square-foot building with two main floors. Built by Lewis Contractors and designed by Manns Woodward Studios Community Architecture + Master Planning, the new Havre de Grace Library is more than double in size of the former space.
The new building features a 100 person meeting room, large collection space, balcony for outdoor reading, literacy center for children, and a learning space for elementary school students.
