November 29, 2018 – Lewis Contractors is pleased to announce the appointment of its Director of Business Development, Olivia Jacobson, to Vice President of the Baltimore Architecture Foundation. Elections were held at the organization’s board meeting this November. Launched in 1987 by AIA Baltimore, the Baltimore Architecture Foundation is a non-profit, educational outreach organization which today focuses its attention and energies on helping to promote an understanding of and an appreciation for Baltimore’s built environment. It is also actively engaged in researching the early architectural firms and practitioners of architecture in Baltimore. Restoration of buildings designed by these firms is one of the crown jewels of the Lewis portfolio.
Proud of its Baltimore heritage, principals of Lewis Contractors actively encourage its team members to give back of their time, talents, and treasures for the betterment of the environment where we live. This appointment furthers Jacobson’s commitment to civic service and increases the company’s commitment to more than a dozen groups serving the greater Baltimore area. Olivia is also on the Board of Directors for the Baltimore County Public School Education Foundation and the Peale Museum. Her civic involvement extends to include membership on the AIA Baltimore Historic Resources Committee, the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Architect/GC Roundtable, and the Emerging Leaders Council for the BCPS Education Foundation.
