October 11, 2016 – The Parks & People Foundation’s new campus in Baltimore receives prestigious WaveMaker Award at the 8th Annual ULI Baltimore WaveMaker Awards Event.
Each year, the Urban Land Institute (ULI) recognizes outstanding wavemaking real estate development projects, related programs and visionaries in urban development through its awards program. This year, The Center for Parks & People was one of five exceptional local development projects to receive the honor.
The new Baltimore campus consisted of two phases of work involving the restoration of the Druid Hill Park Superintendent’s House and the construction of the foundation’s new headquarters building designed to provide laboratory and classroom space for environmental education and job training. The entire project earned the the U.S. Green Building Council’s highest green building certification of LEED Platinum.
