Johns Hopkins University | Applied Physics Laboratory Facility Renovation
This project involved selective demolition and the reconfiguration of existing office and demonstration / laboratory space. Work involved the introduction of new life safety systems, telecom, sanitary tie-in, lighting, and new finishes throughout the spaces. The work included extensive MEP with tie-ins to existing sprinkler, fire, alarm and surveillance. All work at APL was phased in and around occupied, ongoing manufacturing, office, and administrative operations and ongoing work within the plant could not be interrupted. Construction work had to be fully isolated from non-work areas and frequent coordination with the Owner’s facilities staff was absolutely essential.
