Johns Hopkins University | Applied Physics Laboratory Lobby Renovation

Scope for this project included the repair of the existing main lobby roof—in disrepair, leaking, and past its useful life—and the repair of the existing storefront window frames. The project included select interior and exterior demolition. New work included the furnishing and installation of new fluid-applied membrane roofing system, new aluminum box gutter, new aluminum wrapped fascia board, and soffit panels. Lewis also furnished and installed new storefront windows for the lobby. The Lewis team was able to salvage select granite blocks and reinstalled into the space. The project also included coordination with the APL staff for the reinstallation of fire alarm devices. To complete the project, the interior lobby and ceiling was painted and a new vinyl base installed.
