Johns Hopkins University | Applied Physics Laboratory Services and Support Facility
The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) Services and Support Facility was a new 27,000 SF pre-engineered metal building and a phased, fast-track project located on APL’s main campus. The Applied Physics Laboratory, a not-for-profit division of The Johns Hopkins University, meets critical national challenges through the innovative application of science and technology and a client that Lewis is highly familiar with and works for regularly. Construction of this build-to-suit materials storage facility included the removal and relocation of existing utilities as well as phased demolition of surrounding older buildings and the associated miscellaneous structures and facilities. Work for this project was conducted in and around occupied facilities and required the utmost care and coordination with the Owner.
