Indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contracts provide an owner the flexibility of working with a pre-qualified firm for a specific period of time when the precise quantity of projects and services are yet undetermined. Contracts of this type can help streamline the bidding and contract process while speeding service delivery for a fixed length of time, frequently with options for annual renewals.
Most often issued by government agencies, large education institutions, manufacturing firms and the like, contracts of this type provide convenience and assured quality for projects of small and large value. Lewis has held many such contracts over the course of our history. They are often limited by total annual expenditures or number of projects and may be limited by contract values, though still maintaining all of the restraints of larger single project procurements.
